Varnish Fine Art Grand Re-Opening

The grand re-opening for Varnish Fine art is this Saturday, September 24th, from 4pm to 8pm. This is the first show in Varnish’s new space, featuring 21 artists, including myself. Here’s the official info:  Varnish Fine Art’s Grand Re-Opening

I finished up a triptych for the show … along with the return of the Monsterbooth, a photobooth I build for my wedding. I upgraded the booth in lots of ways (including a keckling sub-routine). It will be a “functional installation” and the pics are free.

The show will be open until November 5th, and this is the address of the new place …

“Horrorwood” Gallery Show

I’m participating in a group show in Los Angeles. Although I may not be there in the flesh, I will haunt the show in spirit. My painting is particularly tasty, called “Donna Gabba Gabba.” If you’re in LA, check it out.

“Donna Gabba Gabba” is an homage to Tod Browning’s classic horror film, “Freaks,” from 1932. My painting is pretty much a depiction of the last scene in the movie, but through my own traumatized lens.

Oh. If you haven’t seen Freaks, this is it …

Interview with Industrial Squid

Just finished an interview with the folks at Industrial Squid.

“This time Dylan Sisson dared to stand before the firing squad and in doing so he revealed, among many other things, a predilection for chainsaws, his true feelings on argyle, and the terrifying possibility that he may indeed be close to building a time traveling robot. Don’t believe me? (Why should you? We really haven’t known each other that long.) Read for yourself.”

Yipe! 5: Attack of Idle Hands Released!

So, I’m announcing that my new iphone game has just been released … starring my character, Idle Hands. It’s a retro-style RPG called “Yipe! 5 – Attack of Idle Hands.” I’ve created all the art for the game, from Idle Hands himself, to the monsters, to even the grass tiles … drawing lots of tiny icons and stuff.

I’ve also co-written the story with the game designer, Kevin Kinell. The entire project is the result of collaboration between me, Kevin, and a musician, Andrew Woods. Check it out …
