The Dragon Opener started as a sketch.
I’m interested in how ideas move through creative systems. A drawing becomes a digital sculpture, the sculpture becomes a manufactured object, and eventually something you can hold and use.
This dragon followed that path.
Each opener is hand-cast in solid steel with a dark patina that highlights the sculpted details. At four ounces it has the weight of a small artifact rather than a typical bottle opener.
Only 1,000 black dragon openers exist. Each is individually numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity. My signature is etched on the underside.
Part tool.
Part sculpture.
Part experiment.
